I was quoted a price of $75 for labor for changing front brake pads. Then I get a call that he had to send one router somewhere to be turned and the price will be $100. Calls me back to pick it up and says the guy charged him more to do it so my price will be $125. I paid him $100 because that’s all I had. My husband wanted a receipt to see what the charges were. Mike didn’t give me a receipt. When I called him back to ask about the charges he said the router was difficult for him to get off and he wouldn’t tell me what his guy charged to turn it. He said he was at the doctor’s office and would call me back. He never called back. We needed repairs done on two other cars..major repairs of which he could take his time doing. He lost our business for being so unprofessional. He should have called first to ask if it was ok to pay someone else to turn the router. A mechanic should never just assume the customer is ok with him doing extra work if it wasn’t discussed beforehand. A reputable business would also give you a receipt and return phone calls to make sure you got the answers you needed. I give him zero stars and would not recommend anyone taking their car to him..unless you want to have additional repairs done without your permission, and not get a receipt to show what you paid. He only takes cash as payment too..I bet that’s a big red flag to the IRS.
Best experience I have had at a repair shop. Mike was friendly and straight forward about the problem and the cost. The service was also quick!! Would go back there next time we need a car repair.
I can't thank mike enough for how helpful and honest he was with me. The work I needed done on my car was originally quoted at $400, but Mike was able to fix it for only $75. Other shops would've kept their mouths shut and made a quick dollar. I truly appreciate his integrity and will take my car back for any further work!
